Background
When Shelley Coon and husband moved to Berkhamsted from London, it wasn’t just the sleepy town in Hertfordshire they knew little about.
The back garden of their new home had a raised area that urgently required balustrade to create a safety barrier. The problem was they had no idea who to contact, let alone what kind of balustrade was needed!
Shelley said: “After moving into our new home, we needed to do an extreme garden makeover, which included new balustrades to be installed.
“Having no experience, and I mean absolutely none, of balustrade installation or design, we discovered this absolute gem of a company.”

The customers’ original plan was to order the balustrade and get their builder to install it. However, fitting balustrade is a particular skill, and the builder didn’t have the proper training to carry out the work. This is where we stepped in.
SWR provides a complete range of services, including installation. We worked closely with Shelley to choose the best product for her outdoor space and make the correct measurements to accurately fabricate the balustrade in our workshop.
Finally, our team installed a glass modular system and matching handrails to create a safer environment with a modern touch.
